CEBS: Now Is a Great Time to Invest in Yourself

What do you gain when you earn your CEBS designation? Every year, we ask graduates many questions to learn about their experience with the CEBS designation and their professional development in a cohort survey. Nearly 500 individuals from the United States and Canada took the survey in 2019.

Here’s a snapshot of how earning the CEBS designation has transformed those benefits professionals’ careers and helped them reach their aspirations.

Gained New Skills and Respect From Colleagues

A whopping 95% of CEBS designation holders report that having their CEBS designation expanded their skills and knowledge, which helped them do their job better. And 86% report that having their CEBS designation earned them respect from their colleagues.

Earned Promotions and Salary Increases

Three in five CEBS designation holders report that earning their CEBS designation helped them get a promotion or a job, and half of respondents said their CEBS designation helped them get a raise or a bonus!

Made an Impact at Their Organization

Seventy-two percent of the survey respondents said having their CEBS designation gave them the knowledge to make or recommend plan design improvements for their employer. And three in four said having their CEBS designation qualified them for additional roles and responsibilities.

Achieved Personal Satisfaction

Nearly every CEBS designation holder, 99%, report that earning their CEBS designation gave them personal satisfaction and more than half said the designation helped build their network within the benefits industry.
