I’ve been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the warm weather—storing away the jackets and sweatshirts and throwing on sandals for a stroll outside. If your summers are anything like my mine, you head outdoors and take advantage of every minute of the extra daylight. The season brings a new energy. I’m taking full advantage, adding (hopefully) some achievement with my summer fun this year.

This summer I will be adding a new twist to my schedule—my next CEBS online class. I’m working on earning my Group Benefits Associate (GBA) specialty designation and, ultimately, becoming a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS). Since the online class summer session is now only 10 weeks, I look at it like a great way to get a jump-start on my next course and exam. Consider it—By the fall, you will be another course closer to earning your CEBS designation and won’t have lost any of your momentum!

Check out these great benefits of CEBS online summer classes:

  • Any location—CEBS online classes give you the option to study whenever and wherever it is convenient. To me, sitting in my lawn chair and studying beats being indoors any day!
  • Peer support—The online class is an easy way to network with your peers taking the same course. Who can argue with the value in being able to reach out to others with questions about the class and the content? Just to know that others have the same types of questions helps to keep me motivated. I learn so much from those around me every day.
  • Framework—I know things will come up that could tempt me away from my summer goal. The online course will give me just enough structure to stay on track. With the 10-week course, I can complete a course easily in the summer and still have a break before the next session of fall classes gets started. Classes begin in early summer, so I can look forward to having extra time in August to relax. And I’ll enjoy the satisfaction of knowing that I have completed a course.

As you are planning all your summer activities, consider adding a CEBS online class to your calendar. In the fall, you will be happy that you are even closer to earning your designation. If you’re thinking about enrolling in a summer class, take a look at the list of courses and details.

Here’s to a wonderful summer! May you enjoy each and every day of the season. Who knows, maybe we will be in the same online class . . .

Learn alongside the best in benefits at the 34th Annual Employee Benefits Symposium, August 23-26 in Vancouver, British Columbia—If you have successfully completed one CEBS exam, you are eligible to attend.
