Hot Summertime Benefits

Each month on Talking Benefits, I join Julie Stich, Kelli Kolsrud and Justin Held, International Foundation benefits nerdthusiasts, to discuss a trending employee benefits topic we think our listeners want to know more about.

Our just-released summer episode focuses on workplace issues that often bubble up this time of year—flexible scheduling, thermostat wars, dress code, walking/biking to work and other ideas for a happy summer workplace.

Hot Summertime Benefits

Tune in to learn more about summertime benefits including:

  • Best practices for implementing a summer flexible schedule policy,
  • New research on office temperature settings
  • Dress code considerations and
  • Incentive ideas for employees who bike or walk to work.

We also chatted about other fun summer ideas for the workplace like office Olympics. One of the International Foundation’s summer traditions (every four years) is hosting an all-staff office Olympics event. The shotput competition involved a very close tie in 2016, so we thought it would be appropriate to record a rematch among the bronze, silver and gold winners. Check out the podcast to hear the epic rematch results.

P.S. Photos from the shotput office Olympics rematch have been uploaded onto our podcast page in case you’d like a behind-the-scenes look at the action.
